Jailer James Hughes and four Christian County trustees worked for two days loading five 53-foot trailers of unwanted tires from Trigg residents. The tire amnesty was made possible through a grant from the Kentucky Division of Conservation in Frankfort. The local Trigg County Conservation District handled the event. Pictured are James Hughes, Jerry Thomas, Johnny Thomas and Barry Thomas. All participating residents were pleased to get rid of old tires and were appreciative of the work involved in coordinating the undertaking. For an additional photo please see 5A.
