Funeral services for Kenneth M. Johnson, 86, of Riverview, Fla., a long time resident of Trigg County, were held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home and Crematory. The Reverend James Cox officiated. Burial with full military honors followed at Sholar Cemetery in Trigg County.
Kenneth M. Johnson passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Sun City Center Hospice House in Sun City Center, Florida.
Mr. Johnson retired from Chandler Lumber Company in Los Angeles, California, where he worked as a commercial truck driver. He also worked as a rural newspaper carrier for the Kentucky New Era in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He attended Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church in Trigg County.
He is survived by his wife, Wavelene Johnson, Ledbetter, Ky.; one stepson, Lee Wiggins, Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Lisa Elea (David), Riverview, Fla.; foster son, Chance Savage, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; four step grandchildren, Wesley Wiggins, Cameron Williams, Carlie Williams, and Landon Williams; two brothers, Paul Johnson, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Rick Johnson, Hazen, Ark.; and four sisters, Jean Irving and Sue Black, both of Trumann, Ark., Lacretia Hall, Fayetteville, Ark. and Betty Carter, Jonesboro, Ark.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, Richard Franklin Johnson and Nellie Pauline Foreman Johnson; and one brother, Charles Johnson.
