Funeral services for Lois Delight Euler Freels, formerly of Cadiz, Kentucky, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Alexander West Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind. Internment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery in Evansville, Ind. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until the service hour.
Lois Freels passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home at Manor Court in Carbondale, Ill.
She was born July 31, 1929 to the late Norman and Virginia (Hobgood) Euler in Evansville Indiana.
She married James P. Freels on October 30, 1947.
She retired from the Lakeshore Boat Shop, that she and her late husband, James Freels, owned from 1970-1987 in Cadiz, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Paul Freels on March 15, 2014.
She is survived by one son, Jim (Wanda) Freels, Cadiz; two daughters, Linda (Dennis) Happel, Wadesville, Ind. and Leslie (Dave Johnson) Lloyd Humphry, Carbondale, Ill.; six grandchildren, Donnie Happel, Andy Happel, Chris Freels, Jennifer Cabbage, Alex Lloyd and Tristan Humphry; four great-grandchildren, Mya Happel, Jonah Happel, Addison Cabbage and Beckett Cabbage; four brothers and wives, Jerry and Pat Euler, Evansville, Ind., Michael and Sylvia Euler, Lindin, Tenn. and Sam and Missy Euler, Cadiz, Evansville, Ind.; brother-in-law, John and Carla Freels, Savannah, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Carol and Hillard Grimes, Evansville, Ind.
Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation or a favorite charity.
