Funeral services for Thurman Edward Ford, 75, of Cadiz, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Christian County. Pastor James Edwards will officiate. Gamble Funeral Home of Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
Thurman Edward Ford passed away of natural causes at 2:29 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at his home in Cadiz.
He was born June 30, 1941 in Trigg County to the late Lexie Ford and Lula Belle Gude Hollowell.
Mr. Ford retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority where he was employed as a custodian. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church in Cerulean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one son, Jeffery Bell.
Thurman Edward Ford is survived by his children, Debra Hurt, Waco, Texas, Bernice Bell and Melissa Bell, both of Hopkinsville, Gregory Bell and Dewayne Bell, both of Cadiz; siblings, Avery Radford and Sheridan Hollowell, both of Cerulean, and Lorinza Boyd of Hopkinsville; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
