Arrowcats win tourney

The Trigg County High School Arrowcats have earned top honors at the NASP State Tournament held this weekend in Lousiville, winning first place overall out of 102 competing teams with a team score of 3,440.

The title marks the fifth time the high school Arrowcats have earned a state win since the 2011-12 season.

TCHS senior Clay Stevens was the Arrowcats' top male archer, shooting for 295 and earning third out of 1,067 high school boys, according to NASP score sheets. Senior Lora Lee Heady earned ninth out of 964 competing high school girls with a score of 290.

Trigg County Intermediate School Arrowcats earned seventh place honors at the elementary school level, shooting for a team score of 3,070.

Trigg County Middle School Arrowcats earned a fourth place ranking, with a team score of 3,318.
