The Murray State Racers placed three student-athletes on the 2016-17 All-Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Team.
The voting was revealed after the opening round of the OVC Championship at Hampton Cove Golf Club in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
Leading the way for the Racers was Moa Folke, a junior who was named All-OVC for the third time. She is the defending champion after winning the individual OVC title here a year ago.
Linette Holmslykke, a sophomore was also named All-OVC. MSU's Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria was named to the team and was honored as the OVC Freshman of the Year. Additionally, Holmslykke and Puente Rodriguez de Austria were named to the OVC Newcomer Team.
This marks MSU's third OVC Freshman of the Year winner since the award was started in 2005. Other MSU winners were Alex Hinteregger (2008) and Delaney Howson (2011).
This season marks the fourth time that the MSU program has put three on the All-OVC team following 1998, 1999 and 2012.
Tuesday marks the second round of the OVC Championship. When the event finishes on Wednesday, the league will name the OVC Player of the Year and the Bobby Nichols OVC Coach of the Year winner.
